I am an animal behavior/ecology graduate student who makes forays into art of all kinds -- amateur photography included -- as a hobby. I began my dabbling in digital photography with a point-and-shoot in the early 2000s and only recently moved up to a DSLR. I am still learning to master photographic techniques and equipment.

My main interest is nature photography, broadly encompassing wildlife photography and landscape photography, and I hope to convey both the scientific and artistic side of the natural world in my images. It is very much a "learn as you go" experience, and I am always looking to better myself and learn more about the field. Comments, suggestions, and critiques always welcome!
